The culture here is one that makes the most of the outdoors. You'll discover fishing, boating, snorkeling, diving, biking, hiking and so much more.

There is also plenty to do when the sun goes down. Live music, beach parties, dance clubs, bars and taverns, bowling alleys, arcades and cinemas are available to fulfill your idea of a good time after dark. When you're hungry, you can choose from a wide variety of dining establishments from casual to five-star. The abundance of stores and shops means you can shop 'til you drop. If your idea of fun is a bit more refined, the Sarasota Opera and a number of museums are waiting for you.

Siesta Key certainly isn't as famous as other Florida vacation spots like Orlando, Miami or Fort Lauderdale, and people who own property here are glad. There are enough visitors here to contribute to a healthy economy, yet not so many that living here is unpleasant. You will see other vacationers on your trip to the Key, but nowhere near as many as you would if you went to Walt Disney World, for example. Many vacationers who come to Siesta Key spend a lot of time in Sarasota, while others hang out on the island and enjoy a more relaxed pace.

There are plenty of Siesta Key Florida real estate choices available. If you want a vacation home, there are cottages, condos, beach houses and resort timeshares.
